Davis-Moore Automotive Group to Reward Community Service Superstars

2013 Volunteer Hour Tracking Update

Heather Bohrer

Have you wanted to track your volunteer hours, but never had the motivation?  You won’t want to miss tracking one hour in 2014, because our quarterly winners will receive a free oil change courtesy of Davis-Moore Automotive Group.  That’s right, we’re excited to announce that beginning in 2014, Davis-Moore will provide our quarterly Community Service Superstars with a free oil change.  Start tracking your hours if you’re not already doing so and become eligible for this great prize!  Prizes will be awarded to one YPW Service Superstar (most hours volunteered within YPW) and one Community Service Superstar (most hours volunteered outside of YPW) each quarter.

2013 Update

The Volunteer Hour Tracking program, driven by the Community Relations action team, started as a pilot program in March and was announced to the membership at Founders’ Day in July. In a few short months the program has become an organization-wide tracking tool used by the entire YPW membership.

The program has three main objectives:

•    Marketing: YPW now has a compelling and data-driven story to share: young professionals contribute thousands of service hours to the Wichita community.
•    Goal Setting: 2013 was a testing and benchmarking year for the Volunteer Hour Tracking program.  Starting in 2014, YPW can set realistic, yet challenging,  goals for community involvement inside and outside of YPW.
•    Personal Tracking: YPW provides members with a simple process for tracking personal volunteer activities to use for resumes and professional opportunities.  If you need to know how many hours you have tracked, please contact YPW Community Relations.

We are pleased to call the rollout of the Volunteer Hour Tracking program a huge success so far, largely because of our many dedicated YPs!
