Kansas Dragon Boat Challenge - YPW Community Calendar

The Kansas Dragon Boat Challenge is all about hard work, team unison, paddling camaraderie and most importantly dedication to raising funds for Wichita community charitable and worthy organization.

The event begins on Saturday morning by “Awakening the Dragons” with the colorful dragon eye-dotting ceremony followed by a Paddler’s Parade, the races begin around 9am and continue through to the grand championship. This day wouldn’t be complete without fabulous food, a lion dance performance, and of course, dragon boat racing of the highest caliber!

The date is set, the challenge is confirmed, and the fundraising has begun – get ready….set…. and GET IN A BOAT. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the fundraising event of the year!

ADMISSION IS FREE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC – PLAN TO COME DOWN TO THE WATERS OF THE BIG ARKANSAS AND CELEBRATE WITH US!

Free for spectators. To participate – it’s $50 per paddlers plus the pledge effort of $60, for teams it varies depending upon the category.
