In 2005 the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce realized the pressing need to enter into the global competition for young professionals in our community. They created an initiative with a vision of making Wichita the Heartland's destination for young intellectual capital.  Five years later Young Professionals of Wichita has over 2000 members representing over 200 organizations, and has approximately 60 people serving in leadership roles.  We’ve held more than 300 Action Team meetings that have produced 234 events!  From professional development to mingles, from lunch and learns to community improvement, YPW has always strived to deliver quality events that help our members connect both with each other, and with this community that we love to call home.
