YPW Community Relations fosters a connection between YPs and non-profits in the area to provide YPs the opportunity to give back to their community. Community Relations highlights volunteer opportunities within non-profits in the area, as well as the non-profit organizations themselves. Community Relations also develops an annual community service project that allows YPs the opportunity to become involved in community improvement, as well as creating a sense of ownership and pride in Wichita.

Young Professionals of Wichita serves as the catalyst to bring interns from all types of industries and businesses together. A benefit to our corporate investors, the goal of the Intern Return program is to utilize YPW's resources to enrich the intern's experience in Wichita both socially and professionally by integrating them into the YPW network. As intern candidates complete their education, we want to be their #1 city of choice as they enter the workforce. This team will plan and execute at least 3 programs per year for interns of YPW's corporate investors.

Leadership Link develops strategies to promote leadership opportunities and education for young professionals. Through Leadership Link, YP members are connected to board-level involvement across the city. The team plans 6 or more leadership-based programs for YPW Members each year, called the Professional Development Series.  In the fall of 2010, Leadership Link will launch a YP specific leadership program.
 

Pulse is YPW's social action team. The group of volunteers works tirelessly to plan 12 events per year centered around hot spots and hidden gems in Wichita. These events are open to non-members and are the perfect opportunity to find out more about YPW, network with fellow YPs and encounter Wichita's "cool places".

Team Mosaic showcases the terrific dynamic that brings diversity within the Wichita community. The team's primary goal is to plan and execute 3 members-only events and programs that explore issues of diversity that YPs face in their daily lives.

YP Ambassadors serve as marketers for YPW. The team serves as the welcoming committee at all events and coordinates new member orientation. Team members also develop and coordinate presentations for corporate investors, community and professional organizations - we want everyone to know about what YPs are doing to make a difference in the community! As an added service, the YP Ambassadors assist employers with the recruitment of young intellectual capital from within and outside the Wichita community.
