Tallgrass Film Association Named Nonprofit Partner in #ILoveWichita T-shirt Contest

Meg Foreman - YPW Program & Marketing Manager

Wichita, Kan. – Tallgrass Film Association has been selected as the nonprofit partner for the #ILoveWichita t-shirt contest. The selection committee chose TFA, which this year is producing the 14th annual Tallgrass Film Fest, because of its connection to the creative community, its economic impact on Wichita, and its key role in providing a great quality of life to people of all ages, and YPs in particular.

“We are so honored to be recognized by the Young Professionals of Wichita,” said Lela Meadow-Conner, executive director of Tallgrass Film Association. “TFA is excited to be able to offer cinematic programming equal to that found in larger cities and understands the crucial importance of Wichita’s young professionals in enhancing and transforming our community.”

The #ILoveWichita t-shirt design contest is being used to promote Wichita community pride while raising support for and awareness of the local creative community and nonprofits. The top five design submissions will be selected by a panel of Wichita artists and community leaders. The public will then vote on the finalists to select one winner.

The winner will be revealed at a celebration on Friday, June 24, at the Workroom as part of that month’s Final Friday events. T-shirts will be sold at the Workroom, and the net profit from sales will be split evenly between the winning designer and the nonprofit partner, Tallgrass Film Association.

Design submissions will be accepted beginning February 15 on YPW’s website. Residents of the Wichita metro area in high school or above are welcome to apply. Please see website for all details. This contest has been sponsored by Legacy Bank (Member FDIC).
