The Leadership Link action team develops strategies to promote leadership opportunities and education for young professionals. They do this through four subcommittees that plan events aimed at leadership and professional development for YPs.

Board Placement: Connects YPs interested in serving on non-profit Boards of Directors with local non-profits in need of a YP voice.

Political Awareness: Keeps YPs up-to-date on local political issues and connects YPs with city and county elected officials through the Seat at the Table series.

Professional Development Series: YPs are exposed to topics such as Management 101, Topics on Entrepreneurship, and more.

Leadership Academy: Held once per year, and individuals in the community are nominated and selected to participate in this six-week course.

YPs with the following characteristics should consider joining the Leadership Link team:

  • Politically engaged
  • Natural leader
  • Nonprofit enthusiast

As a member of the Leadership Link you will be required to attend an hour-long monthly meeting as well as any necessary sub-committee meetings.

Being a part of the Leadership Link team will allow you to play an important role in programming, gain leadership experience and connect with key community and business leaders.

If Leadership Link sounds like the action team for you please contact Deborah Hendrix, Olga Khakova or any of the YPW staff members.
